I can’t tell you how many books I’ve tried to find, articles
I’ve read and people I’ve talked to, in hopes of gaining clarity on what it
means to be in a Christian “dating” relationship. Not sure if you’re aware, but there is no
topic dedicated to dating in the bible—not even one chapter. This is simply
because dating didn’t exist in biblical times.

How Do You Trust God?
“Let go and let God.” We’ve all heard someone say this or maybe we’ve said it ourselves. Normally, this phrase is uttered to encourage those in turbulent times. While these words are powerful and true, people who have yet to learn how to trust God will probably view it as just another religious cliché. So what does it really mean to trust Him?

5 Things to Look for in that Special Someone
Now that I'm a woman in my early thirties, I can actually say that I think about marriage. For the longest time I didn't and when those thoughts crept into my head, I fought them; I didn't want to be "that girl." I didn't want to be labeled as a woman looking to settle down. So I pushed whatever "normal" thoughts I had about serious relationships (i.e., one day out of the blue me and my significant other are on the same page emotionally, mentally, financially and any other area in life society thinks should be in line, and BOOM--we're engaged!). Caution: To my knowledge, life does not work out this way! I could be wrong, but this is coming only from my vantage point.

When Tomorrow Starts Without Me
Sometimes I read poetry to get inspired, or simply because I enjoy it, but mostly because I'm a pathetic romantic. Instant Gratification Dating
We are living in a time of instant gratification, and while that has proven beneficial in some instances, in others I think it has been the demise of loving and lasting relationships. For example, we have dating apps created to allow you to swipe and have a "hookup" for the night if you're the shiniest prospect in the area. Don't misunderstand, I'm not staring down from a place of judgement, but rather a place of concern for what we're teaching our youth - our female youth in particular.

How Betsy Johnson Influenced Me
Betsy Johnson has always been an idol of mine. Not because of her whimsical designs, but because she embodies what it means to be a woman not blinded by societal definitions of beauty and sexiness. While her designs are feminine and sexy in some fits, they're still edgy and offbeat with outlandish patterns. When looking in your closet, do you strive to put on something that will brighten up your spirit and show who you truly are?

15 Questions to Ask Yourself About Your Relationship
"You can't have a relationship without any fights, but you can make the relationship worth the fight."
Let's be honest, being in a relationship can be challenging and comes equipped with its share of ups and downs. The best advice I can give is to not be afraid of asking questions. Most of the time, we don't ask because we're afraid of what the response will be, even if the answer is coming from within. I'm here to tell you that you're headed for a life of disappointment if you continue to stay silent.
